We were blown away by the overall vigor and health of this plant in both garden locations we've grown this so far.

TC Jones is very productive! So many large tomatoes, which is also a bit of an anomaly for large-fruited plants that tend to bear less fruit. The shape is variable, with many being somewhat ribbed and others more round. Despite ribbing and texture, they rarely crack or show cat-facing, typical of larger heirloom tomatoes. They hold up well after harvest too, lasting several days on the counter. Fruits have a slight pink blush to the flesh.

Flavor as always, is hard to summarize with varying perceptions from tasters including: fruitiness, mildly sweet, and savory. Soft, smooth texture was described as almost mango-like. Very juicy, but firm enough for slicing. The color makes it really shine in the kitchen, alongside salads and in sandwiches where the bright yellow pop and mildly pink flesh are appealing.

Nothing but rave reviews from our Giving Garden crew!

** There is a small chance that an occasional plant will have variable fruits. While these were isolated from a nearby growing of Prairie Cherry, we have noticed that some may have been crossed up! They still produced delicious and abundant tomatoes, but we thought we ought to warn you!**
