A tall legume used extensively in the summer time as a cover crop for soil building. It can get woody if not pruned. Can be pruned or mowed many times to increase branching and biomass production. Yields more nitrogen than cowpea and is known to suppress nematodes. Sown in the warmer months to keep soil active, growing and suppressing weeds while you may choose not to grow because it's too dang hot!
