A small, fuzzy, yellow-fruited tomato with incredible flavor! A favorite of GROW HUB's nursery manager Crystal and Chef Amadeus. The 2-inch fruits are sweet, juicy, and well balanced, with a firm texture, and large enough to slice.
In our 2021 tomato taste test, this variety earned an 8/10 for flavor, with tasters describing it as smoky, fruity, mildly sweet, and well balanced.
While this tomato won’t win any awards for disease resistance—like nearly all tomatoes grown in Florida, it will eventually succumb to our many tomato diseases, we were surprised by its exceptional productivity. Plants continued producing well into the season, giving us loads of fruit week after week.
This is a truly unique variety in appearance, flavor and productivity. It was named after the Wapsipinicon River in northeast Iowa.
